In a disturbing incident that unfolded on Tuesday (May 14), a teenager was assaulted and hospitalized in South Norwood. The incident occurred at the junction of Regina Road and Sunny Bank, when a group of men demanded the victim’s phone and then proceeded to attack him.
Thankfully, the London Ambulance Service responded promptly, dispatching an ambulance crew to the scene and providing immediate medical assistance to the injured teenager. Following initial treatment on site, the teenager was promptly transported to the hospital for further evaluation and care. Fortunately, the injuries sustained by the victim are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing, bringing some relief to his concerned family.
The authorities wasted no time in responding to this distressing incident, with two men being apprehended in connection with the assault. Both individuals are currently in police custody, aiding ongoing investigations into the matter. Furthermore, a crime scene has been established and remains in place at the location.
