Espoo-based mycoprotein company Enifer has recently secured a significant funding package to commence the construction of a cutting-edge food-grade mycoprotein factory in Kirkkonummi, Finland. The funding has been provided by Taaleri Bioindustry Fund I, with additional investments from current shareholders Nordic Foodtech VC, Voima Ventures, and Valio. Furthermore, Enifer has received financial support from the Ilmastorahasto – The Finnish Climate Fund, as well as a recycling and reuse investment grant from Business Finland.

Mycoprotein, a protein source derived from fungi, promises to revolutionize the sustainability of the food chain. Enifer’s new facility in Kantvik will play a crucial role in advancing their mission of establishing mycoprotein as a fundamental component of our protein supply.
