The judging process, undertaken by over 500 experts including food critics, chefs, recipe creators, buyers, and retailers, followed a blind-tasting approach. Each entry was meticulously analyzed across 92 judging days, ensuring thorough evaluations and providing detailed feedback to the participants, irrespective of whether they received an award.
Since its inception in 1995, the Great Taste Awards have dedicated themselves to showcasing independent food and drink retailers, as well as the producers, wholesalers, and distributors that supply them. This event acts as a platform to support and encourage businesses across the sector, advocating for the needs of independent retailers while fostering relationships between producers and food enthusiasts.
Among the highlights of this year’s awards, 26 products from companies located in South East London claimed prestigious Great Taste Awards. A few noteworthy winners include the Delica Pumpkin Soup with Farro by Natoora London, located at SE16 4RA, as well as the tantalizing Tzatziki with British Watercress.
