Romanian artist Alexandra Pirici is set to unveil her latest exhibition titled “Attune” at Hamburger Bahnhof – Nationalgalerie der Gegenwart. This groundbreaking installation, accompanied by live performative action, marks the beginning of a new series of annual commissions for Gallery Weekend Berlin. The 2024 edition of the exhibition is co-commissioned by Hamburger Bahnhof and Audemars Piguet Contemporary.

In “Attune,” Pirici delves into the intricate connections between humans and non-humans, exploring how they resemble, influence, and attune to one another. Drawing from her extensive study of self-organizing patterns and processes seen in all forms of matter, the artist infuses her work with a deep understanding of the world around her.

Pirici’s artistic approach is a result of years of careful observation, reading, experimentation, and collaboration with scientists from various disciplines. Her work in “Attune” reflects the knowledge she has gained from these collaborations.

Displayed at Hamburger Bahnhof, “Attune” features thought-provoking installations that challenge viewers’ perceptions of the world and encourage them to reflect on their relationship with the environment. Through this exhibition, Pirici invites visitors to engage in a dialogue between art and science, illuminating the interconnectedness of all living beings.
