Taylor Swift’s highly anticipated performances at Wembley Park station brought an unprecedented number of fans to the Tube this month. Over 400,000 attendees flocked to the Jubilee and Metropolitan line Tube station to witness the global megastar’s five captivating shows.

Transport for London (TfL) data revealed that on Thursday August 15, Friday August 16, and Saturday August 17, more than 441,000 entries and exits were recorded at Wembley Park station. This influx of attendees left Mayor Sadiq Khan in awe, as he hailed the performances as the highlight of a “spectacular summer” filled with concerts in London.

During the initial three dates of Taylor Swift’s tour in June, Wembley Park experienced a surge in popularity, with more than 150,000 entries and exits in a day for the first time since 2019. The numbers spoke for themselves, with 167,237 entries and exits on Friday June 21, 153,761 on Saturday June 22, and 137,059 on Sunday June 23.

Expressing his gratitude, Mayor Khan remarked, “We are honored that Taylor Swift chose London for the majority of her record-breaking The Eras Tour performances. Her eight shows at Wembley Stadium attracted an astonishing 700,000 Swifties from around the globe, providing a significant boost to our economy and solidifying London’s status as the true music capital of the world.”
