HEDERA-22, a prominent biomolecule discovery startup born out of ULiege, has successfully raised approximately €2 million in funding to advance its groundbreaking intelligent platform. This platform is designed to revolutionize the search for new biomolecules with bio-pesticide activity, offering promising prospects for the bio protection sector worldwide.

The substantial financing round, which includes a capital increase, was made possible through collaboration between HEDERA-22’s esteemed shareholders – Aravis SA, GESVAL, Noshaq, and K&E – along with generous subsidies from the Walloon Region. This injection of funds will accelerate the development of HEDERA-22’s flagship product, the Ab-Initio platform, and pave the way for its anticipated launch in early 2026.

Valérie Renard, the visionary CEO of HEDERA-22, expressed her enthusiasm for the future prospects of the company. She highlighted the transformative nature of the Ab-Initio platform, which will create an extensive library of molecules available to industry players in the bio protection sector. By harnessing the power of artificial intelligence and cutting-edge technology, HEDERA-22 aims to redefine the landscape of biomolecule discovery and pave the way for more sustainable and effective bio-pesticides.

This significant investment not only validates the potential of HEDERA-22’s innovative approach but also underlines the growing demand for bio-centric solutions in the ever-evolving field of agriculture. As environmental concerns gain momentum, the ability to identify bio-pesticides that are both effective and eco-friendly becomes paramount. HEDERA-22’s breakthrough platform promises to unlock new opportunities for the bio protection sector, addressing these pressing needs and promoting a greener and more sustainable future for agriculture worldwide.
