In a recent incident, a rail worker was subjected to an unprovoked assault while passing through Wealdstone booking hall on July 3. The British Transport Police (BTP) has launched an appeal for information to identify the suspect involved in the assault.

According to authorities, the assault took place at approximately 8.45am when a passenger suddenly attacked the rail worker. Although the motive behind the assault remains unclear, the BTP spokesperson confirmed that the assailant fled the scene immediately after the incident.

The BTP believes that the rail worker was injured with a sharp object during the attack. It is believed that he sought medical treatment following the assault. The severity of his injuries is yet to be disclosed.
