A fire broke out in a semi-detached house that had been converted into flats on Central Park Road in East Ham, Newham, resulting in two people suffering from smoke inhalation. The incident occurred yesterday at approximately 3:23pm, prompting a swift response from the London Fire Brigade (LFB).
Upon arrival, firefighters discovered that a section of the ground floor flat had already been damaged by the blaze. With the situation escalating, LFB control officers received a total of nine distress calls reporting the incident. As a result, four fire engines with approximately 25 firefighters were dispatched to Central Park Road to combat the flames.
The collective efforts of the fire crew proved successful, as the fire was completely extinguished within an hour. Firefighters from Dockhead, Plaistow, and Woodford stations played a vital role in bringing the situation under control by 4:22pm.
