A CTrail train collided with an ATV on Sunday morning in Berlin, resulting in a fire that damaged both vehicles. The incident occurred just south of the Berlin Station, while the train was traveling north.
Passengers onboard the train, a total of twenty, were promptly transferred to another train to resume their journey. Thankfully, no one sustained any injuries during the collision. The Hartford line, which was briefly shut down following the incident, has now been reopened without any restrictions.
It is worth noting that the ATV involved in the crash was unoccupied at the time, which raises questions about how it came to be on the train tracks. Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
